A very good chance. 24 minutes into the game, Gordon Josephs recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Norman Mbule. Gordon Josephs showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 26th match minute, Embotyi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andre Mkhonza to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the game, Andre Mkhonza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Embotyi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Watergang f.c the free kick. After 31 played minutes Embotyi got a freekick which was hit by Andre Mkhonza. Embotyi's Maseti Etafia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Etienne Mbule in the 34th minute of play. Thomas Arendse hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Watergang f.c's supporters crossed their fingers, but Etienne Mbule was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anton Mandla to strike the kick off in the second half. Jafta Konza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Embotyi's Thomas Arendse got a free kick in the 56th minute. Etienne Mbule fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maseti Etafia having to interfere. Maseti Etafia had great luck who in the 60thth minute grab hold of the ball when Etienne Mbule from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Norman Mbule made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Mandla in the 61st minute of play. Etienne Mbule had several of the Embotyi's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 66 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Maseti Etafia as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 75th minute, John Nomvete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Embotyi's Maseti Etafia got control of the ball when Etienne Mbule tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Jafta Konza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd match minute, Embotyi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Arendse to maneuver through the defense. Maseti Etafia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jafta Konza went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Watergang f.c's Norman Mbule played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gordon Josephs in the 87th minute of play. If Etienne Mbule had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
