Spectators: 6855 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1855, VIP seats: 0) Vuyani Takane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sanjay Pretorius having to interfere. Nazeer Magakula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. FC Brandwag were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after FC Ngwenyeni's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lucky Mahlangu took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Nazeer Magakula managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 15th minute, Vuyani Takane got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Nick Josephs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Raymond Mhlongo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sanjay Pretorius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vuyani Takane in the 25th minute of the match. Sanjay Pretorius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vuyani Takane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Vuyani Takane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Justice Tembe hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Vuyani Takane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Sanjay Pretorius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nazeer Magakula struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Akil Konza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Brandwag. Akil Konza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nazeer Magakula in the 40th minute of play. Nick Josephs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akil Konza having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a rather tough play, FC Brandwag's Lindo Sephadi got a free kick in the 51st minute. The FC Ngwenyeni fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when FC Ngwenyeni's Hanile Mnisi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vuyani Takane's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sanjay Pretorius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Ngwenyeni's zone, Nick Josephs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Akil Konza came out of the goal and Nick Josephs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Akil Konza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nazeer Magakula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nazeer Madiba in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sanjay Pretorius saved FC Brandwag from getting behind. Akil Konza came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Brandwag's Nick Josephs. But to his dismay, Nick Josephs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to FC Brandwag getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Lucky Thebile hit a great ball. Sanjay Pretorius was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mpho Miti. Nazeer Magakula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akil Konza having to interfere. Nick Josephs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nazeer Magakula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Akil Konza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Nazeer Magakula got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
