Seating: 1859, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Terence Mhlathe made the kick off which started today's match. When Bernard Ntsume fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bothasrus's protests and gave Bernard Ntsume a yellow card for diving instead. Thami Mokhasi struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Delron Inguana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bothasrus. Thami Mokhasi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Delron Inguana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Michael Sibeko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thami Mokhasi in the 22nd minute of play forced FC Lesseyton's goalkeeper Delron Inguana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vuyani Mandla hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After having played for 26 minutes, Michael Sibeko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Lesseyton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Sibeko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Michael Sibeko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Maxwell Mbheki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Delron Inguana was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, Bothasrus's Ebrahim Mabalane got a free kick in the 38th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bothasrus's zone, Fuzile Mufadi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Papi Shongwe came out of the goal and Fuzile Mufadi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 44 minutes, Rob Mahlangu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Lesseyton and the Bothasrus players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bothasrus booed when FC Lesseyton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rob Mahlangu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Thami Mokhasi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Maxwell Mbheki came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Bothasrus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maxwell Mbheki couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thami Mokhasi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Bernard Ntsume hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Michael Sibeko sped through Bothasrus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Papi Shongwe. A collision led to FC Lesseyton getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Nkosi Steyn hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute Maxwell Mbheki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delron Inguana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Maxwell Mbheki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 played minutes FC Lesseyton got a freekick which was hit by Nkosi Steyn. Nkosi Steyn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Papi Shongwe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernard Ntsume kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Thami Mokhasi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Delron Inguana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michael Sibeko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Papi Shongwe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 played minutes Bothasrus got a freekick which was hit by Bernard Ntsume. Bothasrus's Papi Shongwe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terence Mhlathe in the 89th minute of play. Papi Shongwe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terence Mhlathe in the 94th minute of the match. The FC Lesseyton players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Bothasrus from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
