An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Sibeko in the 9th minute of play forced Langpoort's goalkeeper Daniel Koen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Dean Pretorius was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Lesseyton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Langpoort the free kick. The supporters of Langpoort booed when FC Lesseyton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dean Pretorius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delron Mafuna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Koen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Sibeko in the 25th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Michael Sibeko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniel Koen. Langpoort's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michael Sibeko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. James Shongwe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delron Inguana having to interfere. Nkosi Steyn kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Delron Inguana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from James Shongwe, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Delron Mafuna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Delron Inguana made a huge save. Vuyani Strauss hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and James Shongwe made a kick off. A collision led to Langpoort getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Vuyani Strauss hit a great ball. In the 56th minute of the match, Terence Mhlathe tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Daniel Koen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Michael Sibeko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Daniel Koen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Lesseyton's Delron Inguana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delron Mafuna in the 63rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Lesseyton's Nkosi Steyn got a free kick in the 70th minute. James Shongwe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Delron Inguana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michael Sibeko got in the 78th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Daniel Koen handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Delron Mafuna notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Lesseyton's Delron Inguana. Delron Inguana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Langpoort's zone, Terence Mhlathe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Koen came out of the goal and Terence Mhlathe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Koen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terence Mhlathe, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Langpoort's zone, Michael Sibeko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Koen came out of the goal and Michael Sibeko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Langpoort's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Michael Sibeko fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 94th minute Terence Mhlathe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Koen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
