Spectators: 6872 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1872, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Terence Mhlathe started the match with the kick off. In the 10th match minute, FC Lesseyton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nkosi Steyn to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Terence Mhlathe managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lesseyton's supporters rose to their feet, but Terence Mhlathe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ismail Thembe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Michael Sibeko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Lesseyton's Delron Inguana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeff Mabalane in the 18th minute of play. If Terence Mhlathe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, FC Lesseyton's goal looked a bit too open when Kenny Nkadimeng came free, but Delron Inguana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michael Sibeko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ismail Thembe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute Terence Mhlathe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismail Thembe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Michael Sibeko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half FC Povall were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Kenny Magagane kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. The goalkeeper, Delron Inguana, was totally fooled by FC Povall's Shaheed King, who 63 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Shaheed King's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Delron Inguana on his right side and into the goal. 70 minutes into the game it was 0-3. Ismail Thembe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terence Mhlathe, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Terence Mhlathe in the 78th minute of play forced FC Povall's goalkeeper Ismail Thembe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 83 played minutes FC Lesseyton got a freekick which was hit by Nkosi Steyn. In the 86th minute, Jason Madiba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Povall fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 92nd minute, Michael Sibeko made a precise shot to the right of Ismail Thembe. FC Povall's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. In the 96th minute, Jason Madiba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kenny Nkadimeng struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Delron Inguana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Povall. FC Povall's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
