The supporters of FC Povall booed when Langpoort was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Konza didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Langpoort getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Vuyani Strauss hit a great ball. After having played for 12 minutes, Kenny Nkadimeng managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Povall's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kenny Nkadimeng was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Delron Mafuna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismail Thembe having to interfere. Kenny Nkadimeng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Daniel Koen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Langpoort's Daniel Koen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Langpoort from getting a goal against them. Jason Madiba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 23 in the game by Jason Madiba from a close distance when the talented Daniel Koen managed to make a qualified save. Langpoort's players were relieved. James Shongwe spun around in front of the goal 27 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of FC Povall's goal. In the 32nd minute, Lucky Makweni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jason Madiba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Koen having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kenny Nkadimeng made a kick off. In the 59th minute, Jason Madiba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thabo Klein might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Koen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thabo Klein ran back to his position shaking his head. James Shongwe kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Delron Mafuna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to FC Povall getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Kenny Magagane hit a great ball. Ismail Thembe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Delron Mafuna in the 71st minute. Daniel Koen had in the 79thth minute some difficulties stopping Shaheed King's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Jason Madiba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Langpoort's Delron Mafuna got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Koen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kenny Nkadimeng went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Daniel Koen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jason Madiba, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Povall fans cheered their team off the field, for while Langpoort had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
