Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Harry Thembe started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute Terence Mkhonza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Papi Tshabalala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Meshack Thokozani fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Burgersdorf's protests and gave Meshack Thokozani a yellow card for diving instead. Meshack Thokozani kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Burgersdorf's Meshack Thokozani got a free kick in the 9th minute. Meshack Thokozani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Burgersdorf's Harry Thembe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ebrahim Tshabalala. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. Ebrahim Tshabalala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harry Thembe, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Norman Melele's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Ebrahim Tshabalala skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Siphokazi Madima might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Papi Tshabalala. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Siphokazi Madima ran back to his position shaking his head. Norman Melele hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. If Terence Mkhonza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 29th minute Siphokazi Madima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Papi Tshabalala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harry Thembe received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ebrahim Tshabalala came out and tried to block the shot, but Harry Thembe slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 32nd minute. Norman Melele could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Ebrahim Tshabalala made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Terence Mkhonza took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Papi Tshabalala. Ebrahim Tshabalala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harry Thembe, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 79 minutes into the game, Fuzile Nkadimeng cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Ebrahim Tshabalala was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Harry Thembe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ebrahim Tshabalala having to interfere. Harry Thembe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ebrahim Tshabalala having to make a save. Burgersdorf's Papi Tshabalala proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Burgersdorf from getting a goal against them. Burgersdorf were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mpungutyana for a fine match.
