Spectators: 6846 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1846, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kingston Mandela took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Kingston Mandela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 8 played minutes Bute got a freekick which was hit by Akil Zwane. Siphokazi Madima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Siphokazi Madima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Tebogo Mncube tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, Mpungutyana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siphokazi Madima to maneuver through the defense. Ebrahim Tshabalala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornell Edwards, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 28 played minutes, Mpungutyana's Stanton Tembe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tebogo Mncube came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mpungutyana reached it. In the 30th minute, Terence Mkhonza fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Tebogo Mncube made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terence Mkhonza in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute Kingston Mandela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ebrahim Tshabalala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Siphokazi Madima in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tebogo Mncube, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thomas Ngake hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Siphokazi Madima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tebogo Mncube having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Cornell Edwards managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bute's supporters rose to their feet, but Cornell Edwards was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ebrahim Tshabalala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kingston Mandela in the 46th minute of play forced Mpungutyana's goalkeeper Ebrahim Tshabalala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Terence Mkhonza made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Mpungutyana booed when Bute was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Legako Sephiri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cornell Edwards received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Ebrahim Tshabalala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mpungutyana's Lungie Inguana got a free kick in the 60th minute. With a little luck, Mpungutyana's Ebrahim Tshabalala got control of the ball when Cornell Edwards tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tebogo Mncube came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mpungutyana's Siphokazi Madima. But to his dismay, Siphokazi Madima quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Bute's Kingston Mandela got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kingston Mandela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Terence Mkhonza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tebogo Mncube having to interfere. Siphokazi Madima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Tebogo Mncube tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Terence Mkhonza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Siphokazi Madima made a precise shot to the right of Tebogo Mncube. Bute's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After 88 minutes, Justice Tshabalala mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mpungutyana and the Bute players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Mpungutyana getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Justice Tshabalala hit a great ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Cornell Edwards managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bute's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cornell Edwards was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Kingston Mandela put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ebrahim Tshabalala. Ebrahim Tshabalala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kingston Mandela in the 96th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bute players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mpungutyana.
