Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mpungutyana's Ebrahim Tshabalala proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Mpungutyana from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Mpungutyana's Ebrahim Tshabalala got control of the ball when Mabusela Kolwa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 10 minutes, Thami Khumalo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wolfkop and the Mpungutyana players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wolfkop's Elias Thabang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terence Mkhonza in the 15th minute of play. Themba Maduna kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Siphokazi Madima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Thabang having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Themba Maduna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mabusela Kolwa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Patrice Thembe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ebrahim Tshabalala was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Thami Khumalo got his second yellow card in the match during the 42nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Thami Khumalo kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. If Terence Mkhonza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Terence Mkhonza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Wolfkop got a freekick which was hit by John Mfeke. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Mpungutyana's Terence Mkhonza in the 56th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Elias Thabang was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Wolfkop through an amazing save. After 58 played minutes Wolfkop got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Madiya. Terence Mkhonza spun around in front of the goal 60 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Wolfkop's goal. After having played for 62 minutes, Siphokazi Madima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mpungutyana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Siphokazi Madima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elias Thabang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terence Mkhonza in the 63rd minute of play. Themba Maduna kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Mabusela Kolwa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ebrahim Tshabalala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mpungutyana's Wycliffe Modise got his second yellow card of the match in the 73rd minute. The referee ordered Wycliffe Modise off the ground. The supporters of Wolfkop booed when Mpungutyana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wycliffe Modise didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Siphokazi Madima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mpungutyana's supporters rose to their feet, but Siphokazi Madima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elias Thabang breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Themba Maduna hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, Wolfkop's goal looked a bit too open when Siphokazi Madima came free, but Elias Thabang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lungie Inguana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Thabang having to interfere. With a little luck, Wolfkop's Elias Thabang got control of the ball when Siphokazi Madima tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mando Arendse hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
