Patrick Nhlapo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrice Thembe in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mabusela Kolwa in the 9th minute of play forced FC Mamphokgo's goalkeeper Patrick Nhlapo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mabusela Kolwa might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patrick Nhlapo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mabusela Kolwa ran back to his position shaking his head. Ismail Modipa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Elias Thabang made a huge save. Wolfkop's Elias Thabang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boyisana Mahlangu in the 16th minute of play. Ismail Modipa kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Patrick Nhlapo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mabusela Kolwa in the 21st minute of play. Akil Thebile hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Boyisana Mahlangu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Elias Thabang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boyisana Mahlangu in the 26th minute of play. Boyisana Mahlangu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elias Thabang didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ismail Modipa went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. FC Mamphokgo's Jikolo Madiya shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 35th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Elias Thabang but with some difficulty. Boyisana Mahlangu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Patrice Thembe made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Wolfkop's goal looked a bit too open when Boyisana Mahlangu came free, but Elias Thabang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute, Milton Madiba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Boyisana Mahlangu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Elias Thabang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elias Thabang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismail Modipa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 88 minutes, Ismail Modipa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Mamphokgo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ismail Modipa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Mamphokgo's Mthunzi Stoltz got a free kick in the 91st minute. Lebang Phakathi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Patrick Nhlapo. FC Mamphokgo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. There was no doubt that FC Mamphokgo were the better team. FC Mamphokgo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
