Maluleke Shongwe kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Edries Patel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Tomas Tembe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albert Mandla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sanjay Bartlett having to interfere. Sanjay Bartlett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Mokhasi, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Rafael Mokhasi notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of RUSTENBURG F.C's Sanjay Bartlett. Sanjay Bartlett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sanjay Bartlett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Mandla in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, RUSTENBURG F.C's Mpenza Mumede got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Shakeel Machete managed to get in a good position for a shot. RUSTENBURG F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Shakeel Machete was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Tembe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute, Edries Patel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RUSTENBURG F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Sanjay Bartlett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Mandla in the 31st minute of the match. The supporters of RUSTENBURG F.C booed when Buffelshoek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Sewele didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, RUSTENBURG F.C's Tomas Tembe threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Shakeel Machete, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Edries Patel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Shakeel Machete managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rafael Mokhasi kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Buffelshoek's goal looked a bit too open when Edries Patel came free, but Tomas Tembe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sanjay Bartlett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Mokhasi in the 67th minute of the match. RUSTENBURG F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Rafael Mokhasi scored to the left of an out of position Sanjay Bartlett, making the score, 1-2. Albert Mandla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sanjay Bartlett having to interfere. In the 75th match minute, RUSTENBURG F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricky Sono to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute Rafael Mokhasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sanjay Bartlett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albert Mandla got free with Sanjay Bartlett in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Freddie Sono's late challenge caught a Buffelshoek's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Freddie Sono helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, RUSTENBURG F.C's Freddie Sono got a free kick in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddie Sono in the 84th minute of play forced Buffelshoek's goalkeeper Tomas Tembe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Kekana hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Albert Mandla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sanjay Bartlett was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Although RUSTENBURG F.C had been in control for most of the match, Buffelshoek still came away with the win.
