Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kenny Mbheki kicked off to start the match. Kenny Mbheki scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charles Modise, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Kenny Mbheki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the game, Terence Fortuin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Gudeka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bloemspruit the free kick. After 12 played minutes FC Gudeka got a freekick which was hit by Terence Fortuin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kenny Mbheki in the 13th minute of play forced FC Gudeka's goalkeeper Charles Modise to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th match minute, FC Gudeka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francis Komani to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kenny Mbheki in the 22nd minute of play forced FC Gudeka's goalkeeper Charles Modise to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Kenny Mbheki came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Bloemspruit fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenny Mbheki couldn't finish the play. Dumisane Cassim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Modise having to interfere. If Dumisane Cassim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Bloemspruit getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ebrahim Madiya hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bloemspruit's zone, Promise Mathibe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mthunzi Maduna came out of the goal and Promise Mathibe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Charles Modise showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ebrahim Madiya, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 64 minutes into the match, FC Gudeka's goal looked a bit too open when Dumisane Cassim came free, but Charles Modise reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kenny Mbheki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Bloemspruit booed when FC Gudeka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francis Komani didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Gudeka's Gordon Thebile got a free kick in the 70th minute. Charles Modise took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dumisane Cassim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francis Komani was shown his second yellow card after 78 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, FC Gudeka's Francis Komani got a free kick in the 79th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dumisane Cassim in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charles Modise prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kenny Mbheki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Charles Modise tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kenny Mbheki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute.
