A beautiful save bye QALAS STARS's goalie prevented a goal. Albert Roberts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicholas Mabele having to interfere. Albert Roberts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hlamane Dube recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute, Thanyani Takane made a precise shot to the right of Hlamane Madiba. QALAS STARS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Welgesien's Nicholas Mabele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Roberts in the 21st minute of play. Hlamane Madiba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thanyani Takane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanyani Takane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Hlamane Madiba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd match minute, QALAS STARS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Kerns to maneuver through the defense. Welgesien's Joseph Klaasens got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. QALAS STARS's Lebang Wanani couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 48th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Welgesien.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albert Roberts to make the kick off. Takalani Modise kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thanyani Takane in the 57th minute of play forced QALAS STARS's goalkeeper Hlamane Madiba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Thanyani Takane, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 59 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Hlamane Madiba was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Joseph Klaasens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Hlamane Madiba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hlamane Madiba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thanyani Takane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albert Mufadi was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 79th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Thanyani Takane charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thanyani Takane the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of QALAS STARS booed when Welgesien was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thanyani Takane didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Hlamane Dube had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hlamane Dube hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Welgesien played a much better game than QALAS STARS and deserved their victory. The QALAS STARS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
