The referee ignored QALAS STARS's protests and gave Alex Kerns a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to QALAS STARS getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Alex Kerns hit a great ball. Mabusela Mhlathe struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Hlamane Madiba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Steelpoort. Hlamane Madiba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eric Inguana in the 14th minute. QALAS STARS's Hlamane Madiba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sanjay Strauss in the 17th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Mabusela Mhlathe managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Steelpoort's supporters rose to their feet, but Mabusela Mhlathe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hlamane Madiba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eric Inguana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hlamane Madiba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Hlamane Madiba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mabusela Mhlathe, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 28th match minute, FC Steelpoort was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sanjay Strauss to maneuver through the defense. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Takalani Mumede kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Eric Inguana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Hlamane Madiba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Mabusela Mhlathe made a precise shot to the right of Hlamane Madiba. QALAS STARS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. QALAS STARS's Hlamane Madiba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Inguana in the 70th minute of play. Yacoob Fortuin hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. With a little luck, FC Steelpoort's Lazarus Mothobi got control of the ball when Hlamane Dube tried to sneak it across the goal line. The QALAS STARS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 94 minutes into the game, Takalani Mumede recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lazarus Mothobi. Takalani Mumede showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. QALAS STARS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
