Spectators: 7980 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1900, VIP seats: 80) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jafta Nauseb kicked off to start the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jafta Nauseb in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Milton Mafuna saved JUVENTUS from getting behind. 7 minutes into the match, JUVENTUS's Kingston Melele sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Allan Mhlongo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Kingston Melele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Jafta Nauseb got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jafta Nauseb came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Ajax Amsterdam fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jafta Nauseb couldn't finish the play. Allan Mhlongo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lesego Sewele, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrick Lekgwathi in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Milton Mafuna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Ajax Amsterdam's Jafta Nauseb in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye JUVENTUS's goalie prevented a goal. In the 24th minute Jafta Nauseb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milton Mafuna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Ajax Amsterdam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shaheed Qabi to maneuver through the defense. Allan Mhlongo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lesego Sewele's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Patrick Lekgwathi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milton Mafuna having to interfere. Allan Mhlongo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lesego Sewele, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After having played for 49 minutes, Patrick Lekgwathi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ajax Amsterdam's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrick Lekgwathi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Lesego Sewele made the kick off in the second half. Allan Mhlongo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lesego Sewele's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. The supporters of JUVENTUS booed when Ajax Amsterdam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melusi Mokhasi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kingston Melele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allan Mhlongo having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Godfrey Madima got free with Milton Mafuna in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jafta Nauseb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milton Mafuna having to interfere. Lesego Sewele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Allan Mhlongo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kingston Melele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allan Mhlongo having to interfere. Allan Mhlongo came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by JUVENTUS's Kingston Melele. But to his dismay, Kingston Melele quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. JUVENTUS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ajax Amsterdam for a fine match.
