Spectators: 5050 (Terracing: 3000, Seating: 1950, VIP seats: 100) FC Ajax's David Patel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jomo Mokatimi kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Ismail Komani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sizwe Okpara having to interfere. After 5 played minutes FC Ajax got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Strauss. Sizwe Okpara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sanjay Etafia's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ismail Komani in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sizwe Okpara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10thth minute of the game Sanjay Etafia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Ajax's Sizwe Okpara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Promise Bartlett charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Promise Bartlett the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th minute, Promise Bartlett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute, FC Ajax's David Patel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Sanjay Etafia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sizwe Okpara having to make a save. Sanjay Etafia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sizwe Okpara having to interfere. Sanjay Etafia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Sizwe Okpara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Jomo Mokatimi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 played minutes FC Ajax got a freekick which was hit by Jomo Mokatimi. After 39 minutes of play, Ramokabati's Promise Bartlett made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sizwe Okpara was left in no man's land by his defense there! FC Ajax's Sizwe Okpara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismail Komani in the 43rd minute of play. Ramokabati's Sanjay Etafia got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sanjay Etafia made a kick off. Noxolo Sephiri's late challenge caught a Ramokabati's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Noxolo Sephiri helped the player get up and apologised. If Sanjay Etafia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismail Komani might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sizwe Okpara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ismail Komani ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in FC Ajax's zone, Ismail Komani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sizwe Okpara came out of the goal and Ismail Komani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute, one of FC Ajax:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Ajax. Eric Mafuna shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After 71 minutes of play FC Ajax's Jomo Mokatimi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 71st match minute, FC Ajax was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jomo Mokatimi to maneuver through the defense. When Themba Ntsume came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Ramokabati fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Themba Ntsume couldn't finish the play. Ismail Komani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Sizwe Okpara made a huge save. FC Ajax's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Themba Ntsume scored to the left of an out of position Sizwe Okpara, making the score, 1-2. Themba Ntsume received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Sizwe Okpara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Ajax's Sizwe Okpara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismail Komani in the 85th minute of play. The supporters of Ramokabati booed when FC Ajax was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noxolo Sephiri didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Themba Ntsume couldn't finish the play. Ramokabati's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
