FC Ntontsasa's Thami Bandura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save FC Ntontsasa from getting a goal against them. Thami Bandura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jafta Nauseb in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ajax Amsterdam's goalkeeper Allan Mhlongo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Allan Mhlongo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrice Mncube, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 38 minutes, Patrick Lekgwathi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ajax Amsterdam's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrick Lekgwathi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Jafta Nauseb got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jafta Nauseb stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Patrice Mncube might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Allan Mhlongo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patrice Mncube ran back to his position shaking his head. Ajax Amsterdam were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
