Aubrey Mncube tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aubrey Mncube showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Roberts in the 9th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ramokabati's Themba Ntsume got a free kick in the 16th minute. Aubrey Mncube made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Roberts in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Takalani Mumede was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. QALAS STARS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ramokabati the free kick. Takalani Mumede kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 26th minute Francis Arendse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hlamane Madiba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silas Tau's late challenge caught a Ramokabati's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silas Tau helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th minute, Silas Tau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Themba Ntsume charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Themba Ntsume the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of QALAS STARS booed when Ramokabati was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Themba Ntsume didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sanjay Etafia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Promise Bartlett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hlamane Madiba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sanjay Etafia in the 43rd minute of play. Albert Roberts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aubrey Mncube having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ramokabati's Alpheus Magagane got a free kick in the 46th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sanjay Etafia to make the kick off. Lebang Wanani's late challenge caught a Ramokabati's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lebang Wanani helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to QALAS STARS getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Lebang Wanani hit a great ball. Aubrey Mncube stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hlamane Dube's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Sanjay Etafia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hlamane Madiba having to interfere. 68 minutes into the game, Ramokabati's Francis Arendse nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hlamane Madiba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ramokabati's Aubrey Mncube played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hlamane Dube in the 71st minute of play. If Sanjay Etafia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albert Roberts struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Aubrey Mncube didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for QALAS STARS. Johann Bandura hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Kerns during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 87 minutes into the match, Ramokabati's Eric Mafuna broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Francis Arendse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hlamane Madiba made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Francis Arendse sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ramokabati had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
