Spectators: 7039 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1939, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jikolo Smith started the match with the kick off. A collision led to FC Magogeni getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Darren Thobejane hit a great ball. After 4 minutes, Jeff Madiya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Magogeni and the FC Masters players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Magogeni's Jeff Madiya got a free kick in the 4th minute. Jikolo Smith was extremely unlucky when he, in the 5th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. FC Magogeni's Maseti Mncube proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save FC Magogeni from getting a goal against them. FC Magogeni's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jikolo Smith 9 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Milton King sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nelson Mhlathe during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 24 played minutes FC Masters got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Mhlathe. Bradley Qabi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Serage in the 26th minute of the match. Leon Melele who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Maseti Mncube when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dumisane Steyn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bradley Qabi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Milton King managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Masters's supporters rose to their feet, but Milton King was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maseti Mncube breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute, Dumisane Steyn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bradley Qabi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Serage, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The supporters of FC Magogeni booed when FC Masters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Melele didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dumisane Steyn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the match, FC Magogeni's goalkeeper Maseti Mncube had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milton King. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonas Serage made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milton King in the 54th minute of play forced FC Magogeni's goalkeeper Maseti Mncube to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dumisane Steyn got free with Bradley Qabi in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 59th minute of the match Andre Mufadi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bradley Qabi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 59 played minutes FC Masters got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Mhlathe. Dumisane Steyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dumisane Steyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Magogeni's Maseti Mncube played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milton King in the 70th minute of play. When FC Masters's Milton King in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Magogeni's goalie prevented a goal. FC Magogeni's Maseti Mncube played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jikolo Smith in the 77th minute of play. After 79 minutes of play, FC Masters's Jikolo Smith made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maseti Mncube was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 81 played minutes FC Magogeni got a freekick which was hit by Darren Thobejane. In the 82nd minute of the match Lucas Stoltz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maseti Mncube showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Etienne Machete's late challenge caught a FC Masters's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Etienne Machete helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd minute, Etienne Machete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dumisane Steyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Milton King got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dumisane Steyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maseti Mncube took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milton King, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Masters's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
