Spectators: 8442 (Terracing: 6333, Seating: 1941, VIP seats: 168) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jikolo Smith took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 6 played minutes FC Mpangane got a freekick which was hit by Nkosi Mumede. If Jikolo Smith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of FC Masters booed when FC Mpangane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lungie Fredericks didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bradley Qabi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornell Liau in the 11th minute of play. The supporters of FC Masters booed when FC Mpangane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nkosi Mumede didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Milton King ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mawetu Setlaba was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 22 played minutes FC Masters got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Mhlathe. Bradley Qabi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rabelani Nkadimeng's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Cornell Liau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cornell Liau received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bradley Qabi came out and tried to block the shot, but Cornell Liau slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 32nd minute. Jikolo Smith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Milton King got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bradley Qabi came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Mpangane's Rabelani Nkadimeng. But to his dismay, Rabelani Nkadimeng quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cornell Liau was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the FC Masters defense, Cornell Liau kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bradley Qabi. The FC Masters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bradley Qabi should have stopped the shot. Jikolo Smith fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mawetu Setlaba having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Mpangane's Phillip Thebile got a free kick in the 65th minute. Rabelani Nkadimeng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Bradley Qabi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Masters's Bradley Qabi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornell Liau in the 71st minute of play. In the 75th minute of the match Henry Magagane shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bradley Qabi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 77th minute Jikolo Smith shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mawetu Setlaba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornell Liau in the 79th minute of play forced FC Masters's goalkeeper Bradley Qabi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeff Melele kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Milton King could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Mawetu Setlaba made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rabelani Nkadimeng in the 91st minute of play forced FC Masters's goalkeeper Bradley Qabi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Milton King had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Mpangane fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Masters had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
