Spectators: 6959 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1959, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Akil Shongwe got the match started through his kick off. Nkosi Mafuna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Akil Shongwe, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. When Noxolo Maduna fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Susterstroom's protests and gave Noxolo Maduna a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Susterstroom's Noxolo Maduna got a free kick in the 6th minute. 7 minutes into the match, FC Magogeni's Andre Mufadi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The audience was convinced that Nicolas Phakathi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maseti Mncube was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After 16 played minutes FC Magogeni got a freekick which was hit by Andre Mufadi. In the 17th minute, Raymond Machete sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Magogeni's Maseti Mncube didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in Susterstroom's zone, Jonas Serage stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nkosi Mafuna came out of the goal and Jonas Serage tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Magogeni's Maseti Mncube played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Phakathi in the 23rd minute of play. Freddie Mufadi's late challenge caught a FC Magogeni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Freddie Mufadi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th minute, Freddie Mufadi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, FC Magogeni's Andre Mufadi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kingston Lekgwathi in the 31st minute of play forced FC Magogeni's goalkeeper Maseti Mncube to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Susterstroom's Nicolas Phakathi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maseti Mncube narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maseti Mncube made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kingston Lekgwathi in the 34th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Kingston Lekgwathi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Susterstroom's supporters rose to their feet, but Kingston Lekgwathi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maseti Mncube breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Freddie Klaasens hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute Kingston Lekgwathi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maseti Mncube saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolas Phakathi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maseti Mncube came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Susterstroom's Kingston Lekgwathi. But to his dismay, Kingston Lekgwathi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. FC Magogeni's Maseti Mncube played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Phakathi in the 46th minute of play. Jeff Madiya charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeff Madiya the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Magogeni getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Jeff Madiya hit a great ball. FC Magogeni's Maseti Mncube played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Phakathi in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicolas Phakathi made a kick off. A collision led to FC Magogeni getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Akil Shongwe hit a great ball. After 58 played minutes, Susterstroom's Thami Thabang shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maseti Mncube came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Susterstroom reached it. When Freddie Mufadi came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Susterstroom fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddie Mufadi couldn't finish the play. 62 minutes into the game, Nicolas Phakathi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Maseti Mncube was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 67 minutes into the match, Susterstroom's Nicolas Phakathi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maseti Mncube narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 73 played minutes FC Magogeni got a freekick which was hit by Andre Mufadi. In the 76th match minute, FC Magogeni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Etienne Machete to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kingston Lekgwathi got free with Maseti Mncube in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, FC Magogeni's Maseti Mncube got control of the ball when Kingston Lekgwathi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicolas Phakathi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Maseti Mncube tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute Nicolas Phakathi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maseti Mncube saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, FC Magogeni's goalkeeper Maseti Mncube had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kingston Lekgwathi. 96 minutes in the game, Nicolas Phakathi fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Maseti Mncube having to interfere. Susterstroom's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
