Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 7 minutes into the match, Edries Steyn notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Boegoeberg's Lucky Kanku. Lucky Kanku was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Vuyani Stoltz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vuyani Stoltz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucky Kanku having to interfere. With a little luck, Boegoeberg's Lucky Kanku got control of the ball when Vuyani Stoltz tried to sneak it across the goal line. James Mabele kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, Gruisklip's James Mabele nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lucky Kanku made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Vuyani Stoltz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucky Kanku read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Vuyani Stoltz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gruisklip's supporters rose to their feet, but Vuyani Stoltz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucky Kanku breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Boegoeberg's Lungie Kubheka got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Lucky Kanku didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 35th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. Mpenza Webb kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. James Mabele could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Lucky Kanku made a huge save. 43 minutes into the match, Boegoeberg's goal looked a bit too open when Maluleke Kekana came free, but Lucky Kanku reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by James Mabele got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Bradley Setlaba made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Boegoeberg's zone, James Mabele stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucky Kanku came out of the goal and James Mabele tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jason Bartlett's late challenge caught a Gruisklip's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jason Bartlett helped the player get up and apologised. Jason Bartlett hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, Boegoeberg's goal looked a bit too open when Vuyani Stoltz came free, but Lucky Kanku reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Mpenza Webb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maluleke Kekana in the 73rd minute of play forced Boegoeberg's goalkeeper Lucky Kanku to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute of the match Melusi Mufumadi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucky Kanku showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Vuyani Stoltz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucky Kanku didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from James Mabele went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Lucky Kanku showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Mabele in the 86th minute of the match. After 88 played minutes Gruisklip got a freekick which was hit by Maluleke Kekana. When Bradley Setlaba fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boegoeberg's protests and gave Bradley Setlaba a yellow card for diving instead. Vuyani Stoltz took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucky Kanku. Lucky Kanku dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gruisklip had played much better football throughout.
