Dean Bandura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freddie Mkhize kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Papi Melele had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Delron Klaasens. Nino FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Papi Melele was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 23rd minute, Jikolo Qabi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Michael Mothobi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Delron Klaasens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Delron Klaasens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Papi Melele, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michael Mothobi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Terence Kubheka hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, Nino FC's goal looked a bit too open when Papi Melele came free, but Delron Klaasens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Maluleke Mathibe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nino FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maluleke Mathibe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Siyabonge Ntsume breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd match minute, Nino FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maluleke Mathibe to maneuver through the defense. Maluleke Mathibe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Delron Klaasens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Papi Melele in the 61st minute. 72 minutes into the game, one of Nino FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Delron Klaasens, was totally fooled by Ihluku's Simamane Tau, who 74 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Delron Klaasens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jikolo Qabi in the 80th minute of play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jikolo Qabi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Delron Klaasens came out and tried to block the shot, but Jikolo Qabi slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 86th minute. Themba Mangope fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delron Klaasens having to interfere. Delron Klaasens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jikolo Qabi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jikolo Qabi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Delron Klaasens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Ihluku left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Nino FC.
