After a rather tough play, Kaizer Chiefs F.C.'s Joseph Mufumadi got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 41stth minute of the game Justice Dinha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kaizer Chiefs F.C.'s Mando Modise was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jason Lekgwathi in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mando Modise saved Kaizer Chiefs F.C. from getting behind. Melusi Shoba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Mando Modise made a huge save. With a little luck, Kaizer Chiefs F.C.'s Mando Modise got control of the ball when Melusi Shoba tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bernard Mfeke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mando Modise made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jason Lekgwathi in the 96th minute of play.
