Enyanisweni's Mabusela Tembe got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 42 minutes, Siphokazi Mathibe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Cepeni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Siphokazi Mathibe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Enyanisweni's goal looked a bit too open when Siphokazi Mathibe came free, but Lazarus Inguana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 48 played minutes, Enyanisweni's Enock Modipa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Legako Arendse came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Enyanisweni reached it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Hlamane Makweni charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hlamane Makweni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
