Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Thomas Fortuin kicked off to start the match. Mthunzi Madiya came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Breetsvlei's William Thompson. But to his dismay, William Thompson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thomas Fortuin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the FC Breetsvlei defense, Mpho Tshabalala kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delron Lekgwathi. The FC Breetsvlei fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delron Lekgwathi should have stopped the shot. Delron Lekgwathi made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Mpho Tshabalala sent off a good shot on target. After 26 minutes, Yacoob Klein mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nonceba and the FC Breetsvlei players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Nonceba's Yacoob Klein got a free kick in the 26th minute. FC Breetsvlei's Delron Lekgwathi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save FC Breetsvlei from getting a goal against them. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Breetsvlei's goalkeeper Delron Lekgwathi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mpho Tshabalala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Breetsvlei's Delron Lekgwathi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Fortuin in the 38th minute of play. With a little luck, FC Breetsvlei's Delron Lekgwathi got control of the ball when Mpho Tshabalala tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nazeer Okpara hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Mpho Tshabalala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell William Thompson to make the kick off. Nonceba's Mthunzi Madiya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Nonceba from getting a goal against them. Delron Lekgwathi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Fortuin, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Mpho Tshabalala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of FC Breetsvlei booed when Nonceba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phillip Madiba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomas Fortuin struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Delron Lekgwathi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nonceba. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nazeer Okpara during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Yacoob Klein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Delron Lekgwathi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mthunzi Madiya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Thompson, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After 78 minutes Nonceba's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nick Arendse who took care of the corner kick. Delron Lekgwathi came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Nonceba's Mpho Tshabalala. But to his dismay, Mpho Tshabalala quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Mpho Tshabalala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Delron Lekgwathi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melusi Sono's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Delron Lekgwathi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Delron Lekgwathi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yacoob Klein went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nonceba's goalkeeper Mthunzi Madiya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nonceba's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
