A very good chance for a goal. Henry Webb blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enock Bartlett having to make a save. After some careless play in the BARKING BEARS defense, Mabusela Sewele kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jabu Khomane. The BARKING BEARS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jabu Khomane should have stopped the shot. In the 28th minute Kenny Zwane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enock Bartlett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, BARKING BEARS's Enock Bartlett threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kenny Zwane, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. BARKING BEARS's Jabu Khomane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aubrey Shoba in the 36th minute of play. BARKING BEARS's Kenny Zwane got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henry Webb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enock Bartlett having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mabusela Sewele in the 49th minute of play forced BARKING BEARS's goalkeeper Jabu Khomane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mabusela Sewele to make the kick off. After having played for 56 minutes, Aubrey Shoba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eerstegeluk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aubrey Shoba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eerstegeluk's Enock Bartlett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Webb in the 64th minute of play. After 65 played minutes Eerstegeluk got a freekick which was hit by Terence Magakula. Henry Webb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70thth minute of the game Henry Webb who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eerstegeluk's Enock Bartlett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alpheus Josephs's late challenge caught a Eerstegeluk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alpheus Josephs helped the player get up and apologised. After 73 played minutes BARKING BEARS got a freekick which was hit by Alpheus Josephs. Jabu Khomane was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Terence Magakula. 87 minutes into the match, BARKING BEARS's goal looked a bit too open when Aubrey Shoba came free, but Jabu Khomane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to BARKING BEARS getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Jikolo Mbheki hit a great ball. Jabu Khomane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mabusela Sewele in the 90th minute of play. With a little luck, BARKING BEARS's Jabu Khomane got control of the ball when Aubrey Shoba tried to sneak it across the goal line.
