Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Promise Wanani got free with Freddie Shoba in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Leeudrif's Tomas Madiya got a free kick in the 4th minute. The long shot by Jakob Modise in the 7th minute really tested Freddie Shoba's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Promise Wanani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eric Mathibe's late challenge caught a Leeudrif's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eric Mathibe helped the player get up and apologised. Bongi Stoltz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddie Shoba having to interfere. 18 minutes into the game, Leeudrif's Henry Dinha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mthunzi Madima made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Peninghotsa's Bongi Stoltz got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 23 played minutes Peninghotsa got a freekick which was hit by Thami Josephs. Henry Dinha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mthunzi Madima having to interfere. After some careless play in the Peninghotsa defense, Henry Dinha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mthunzi Madima. The Peninghotsa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mthunzi Madima should have stopped the shot. 35 minutes into the match, Peninghotsa's Promise Wanani sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Freddie Shoba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 37th minute Bongi Stoltz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Shoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Freddie Shoba was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from William Ntsume. When Bongi Kekana came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Leeudrif fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bongi Kekana couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ismail Zwane was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match Leeudrif got a corner. Peninghotsa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bongi Kekana ran over to the corner to take the kick. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peninghotsa's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bongi Kekana was slow to take the kick. During this time Leeudrif's players had a chance to rest. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Promise Wanani in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Freddie Shoba saved Leeudrif from getting behind. Bongi Stoltz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Freddie Shoba having to make a save. In the 63rd minute, Promise Wanani left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peninghotsa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. 68 minutes into the match, Thami Josephs notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Leeudrif's Freddie Shoba. Freddie Shoba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Henry Dinha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Leeudrif getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Tomas Madiya hit a great ball. Bongi Stoltz took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Freddie Shoba. Freddie Shoba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Bongi Stoltz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Freddie Shoba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
