Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) Phillip Mkhize stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mawetu Nomvete's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Nicholas Magakula took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mpenza Collins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicholas Magakula came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Skull Breakers's Jakob Nhlapo. But to his dismay, Jakob Nhlapo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Nicholas Magakula was a little too slow when Jakob Nhlapo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Jakob Nhlapo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skull Breakers's supporters rose to their feet, but Jakob Nhlapo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicholas Magakula breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Mawetu Nomvete's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Phillip Mkhize was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Mpenza Collins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Nicholas Magakula tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Silver Stars's goalkeeper Nicholas Magakula had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jakob Nhlapo. When Silver Stars's Mawetu Nomvete in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Skull Breakers's goalie prevented a goal. In the 25th minute of the match Themba Sephiri shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Phillip Mkhize showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Skull Breakers getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Ebrahim Sephadi hit a great ball. Mawetu Nomvete struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Phillip Mkhize didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Silver Stars. Mawetu Nomvete received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Phillip Mkhize tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ebrahim Sephadi fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skull Breakers's protests and gave Ebrahim Sephadi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, Ebrahim Sephadi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mawetu Nomvete in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Phillip Mkhize prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mawetu Nomvete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mawetu Nomvete to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Skull Breakers getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Samuel Thebe hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the match, Skull Breakers's goal looked a bit too open when Themba Sephiri came free, but Phillip Mkhize reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phillip Mkhize showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nick Machete, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Mawetu Nomvete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phillip Mkhize having to interfere. In the 68th minute Mpenza Collins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicholas Magakula saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jakob Nhlapo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicholas Magakula read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Silver Stars's zone, Mpenza Collins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicholas Magakula came out of the goal and Mpenza Collins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Silver Stars's Aubrey Nauseb got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 88 played minutes Skull Breakers got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Thebe. Themba Sephiri was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 89th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Nick Machete got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With his leg Phillip Mkhize managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Silver Stars's Mawetu Nomvete fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ebrahim Sephadi was shown his second yellow card after 96 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Skull Breakers's Ebrahim Sephadi got a free kick in the 97th minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Skull Breakers were victorious despite being under pressure from Silver Stars for much of the match.
