An unexpectedly hard shot by Simamane Macheke in the 8th minute of play forced Santos FC Cape Town's goalkeeper Hlamane Mandela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rob Mandla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaak Taelma having to interfere. Hlamane Mandela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simamane Macheke in the 18th minute of the match. Hlamane Mandela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leslie Sephadi, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Rob Mandlas short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Jaak Taelma to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 24th minute there was a penalty for Mcotsho. Thami Ngake stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hlamane Mandela. 0-1. Rob Mandla who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Jaak Taelma when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Santos FC Cape Town defense, Simamane Macheke kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hlamane Mandela. The Santos FC Cape Town fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hlamane Mandela should have stopped the shot. Sipho Nauseb took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hlamane Mandela. Santos FC Cape Town's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Santos FC Cape Town fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Santos FC Cape Town's Rob Mandla looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Leslie Sephadi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Hlamane Mandela when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Santos FC Cape Town's Siyabonge Mabele got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Mcotsho's Mthunzi Madima got a free kick in the 71st minute. Rob Mandla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th match minute, Mcotsho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicholas Sibeko to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rob Mandla in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jaak Taelma prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siyabonge Mabele in the 92nd minute of play forced Mcotsho's goalkeeper Jaak Taelma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Santos FC Cape Town supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mcotsho's performance. The match ended with a win for Mcotsho.
