Etienne Sono got a throw-in 21 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Harry Mayoyo. After 23 played minutes Santos FC Cape Town got a freekick which was hit by Harry Mayoyo. Johann Modise's late challenge caught a Santos FC Cape Town's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johann Modise helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rob Mandla in the 58th minute of play forced Rini MKB 2005's goalkeeper Vuyo Fredericks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rob Mandla who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Vuyo Fredericks when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hlamane Mandela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johann Modise in the 74th minute of the match. Hlamane Mandela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Etienne Ntsume, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Rini MKB 2005's goal looked a bit too open when Siyabonge Mabele came free, but Vuyo Fredericks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rini MKB 2005's Fuzile Kolwa got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Rob Mandlas short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Vuyo Fredericks to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Leslie Strauss kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rini MKB 2005 had won after a very even match.
