Seating: 2117, VIP seats: 183) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Simamane Macheke started the match with the kick off. Leslie Sephadi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Phillip Mkhize tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 8 minutes of play, Mcotsho's Leslie Sephadi made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Phillip Mkhize was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Simamane Macheke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jakob Nhlapo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Skull Breakers's Mpenza Collins in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mcotsho's goalie prevented a goal. When Jakob Nhlapo came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Skull Breakers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jakob Nhlapo couldn't finish the play. Simamane Macheke struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Phillip Mkhize didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mcotsho. Mcotsho's Jaak Taelma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mpenza Collins in the 41st minute of play. Jakob Nhlapo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jaak Taelma having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Mpenza Collins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skull Breakers's supporters rose to their feet, but Mpenza Collins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaak Taelma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ebrahim Sephadi charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ebrahim Sephadi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, Ebrahim Sephadi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Skull Breakers's Phillip Mkhize played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simamane Macheke in the 47th minute of play. Mcotsho's Jaak Taelma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jakob Nhlapo in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mpenza Collins made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Patrice Nauseb was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mcotsho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skull Breakers the free kick. 52 minutes into the game, one of Mcotsho:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 54 minutes, Skull Breakers's Samuel Thebe got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jaak Taelma. Phillip Mkhize showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simamane Macheke, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the game, Mpenza Collins cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jaak Taelma was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 66 played minutes, Mcotsho's Sipho Nauseb shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Phillip Mkhize came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mcotsho reached it. 69 minutes into the game, Simamane Macheke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Phillip Mkhize was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jakob Nhlapo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Mcotsho's zone, Mpenza Collins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaak Taelma came out of the goal and Mpenza Collins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Skull Breakers's Jakob Nhlapo got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Mcotsho's goal looked a bit too open when Mpenza Collins came free, but Jaak Taelma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mcotsho's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Samuel Thebe was slow to take the kick. During this time Skull Breakers's players had a chance to rest. In the 82nd minute, Jakob Nhlapo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jaak Taelma, passed just outside the right post. Jaak Taelma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mpenza Collins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Meshack Lekgwathi fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skull Breakers's protests and gave Meshack Lekgwathi a yellow card for diving instead. Meshack Lekgwathi hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Mcotsho's Leslie Sephadi got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Phillip Mkhize made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leslie Sephadi in the 97th minute of play. The Skull Breakers players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Mcotsho from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
