Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5875, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Johann Modise took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute, Jomo Magagane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rini MKB 2005's goalkeeper Vuyo Fredericks, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Mcotsho's Mawetu Madima got a free kick in the 6th minute. Rini MKB 2005's Vuyo Fredericks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simamane Macheke in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute Mawetu Madima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vuyo Fredericks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vuyo Fredericks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leslie Sephadi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaak Taelma was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Johann Modise capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Johann Modise really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. If Johann Modise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Rini MKB 2005's goal looked a bit too open when Leslie Sephadi came free, but Vuyo Fredericks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vuyo Fredericks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mthunzi Madima in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leslie Sephadi in the 28th minute of play forced Rini MKB 2005's goalkeeper Vuyo Fredericks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 28 minutes, Stanton Nauseb mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rini MKB 2005 and the Mcotsho players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stanton Nauseb hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the game, Simamane Macheke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Vuyo Fredericks was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Rini MKB 2005 booed when Mcotsho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simamane Macheke didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Leslie Sephadi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mcotsho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rini MKB 2005 the free kick. After having played for 43 minutes, Stanton Nauseb managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rini MKB 2005's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stanton Nauseb was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vuyo Fredericks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leslie Sephadi, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simamane Macheke was the one to do the kick off. Vuyo Fredericks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simamane Macheke in the 54th minute of the match. Simamane Macheke kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Fuzile Kolwa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Jaak Taelma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Mawetu Madima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mthunzi Madima struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Vuyo Fredericks didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mcotsho. Jomo Magagane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the match, Mthunzi Madima dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vuyo Fredericks, 1-2. After 81 played minutes Rini MKB 2005 got a freekick which was hit by Dumisane Mokhasi. Thami Ngake took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vuyo Fredericks. Rini MKB 2005's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Simamane Macheke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Rini MKB 2005's Shakeel Tembe got a free kick in the 87th minute. Vuyo Fredericks made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Leslie Sephadi sent off a good shot on target. In the 95th match minute, Mcotsho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leslie Sephadi to maneuver through the defense. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
