In the 5th minute Thabile Collins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Ngake saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When FINAL BATTLE FC's Rafael Mahlangu in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sev7en Stars's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sev7en Stars's zone, Rafael Mahlangu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silas Radebe came out of the goal and Rafael Mahlangu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Sev7en Stars defense, Rafael Mahlangu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silas Radebe. The Sev7en Stars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silas Radebe should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Sev7en Stars's zone, Solly Radebe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silas Radebe came out of the goal and Solly Radebe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute, Sev7en Stars's Boyisana Kerns dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 21st minute, Nicholas Miti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silas Radebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Mahlangu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Mawetu Stoltz took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Albert Ngake to make any attempt to save it. Albert Ngake made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Thabile Collins sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rafael Mahlangu to make the kick off. A collision led to Sev7en Stars getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Sipho Mufadi hit a great ball. After 52 played minutes Sev7en Stars got a freekick which was hit by Elias Dinha. Rafael Mahlangu struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Silas Radebe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FINAL BATTLE FC. Albert Ngake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mawetu Stoltz in the 59th minute of play. Nicholas Miti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silas Radebe having to interfere. Sipho Thabang kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Silas Radebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Mahlangu in the 72nd minute of the match. After having played for 75 minutes, Bomikaze Fredericks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FINAL BATTLE FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bomikaze Fredericks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute, Freddie Etafia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Freddie Etafia hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Mahlangu in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silas Radebe saved Sev7en Stars from getting behind. Freddie Etafia kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute Mawetu Stoltz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Ngake saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
