Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) stellenbosh city's Soloman Tembe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jomo Etafia in the 6th minute of play. Jomo Etafia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Soloman Tembe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mawetu Stoltz took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Soloman Tembe. Soloman Tembe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Mawetu Stoltz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jomo Etafia in the 17th minute of play forced stellenbosh city's goalkeeper Soloman Tembe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silas Radebe made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Sam Machete sent off a good shot on target. Silas Radebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Themba King in the 24th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Jomo Etafia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sev7en Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Jomo Etafia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Soloman Tembe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silas Radebe came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by stellenbosh city's Sam Machete. But to his dismay, Sam Machete quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Tebogo Miti kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Jomo Etafia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sam Machete received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Silas Radebe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silas Radebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Machete in the 38th minute of the match. Jomo Etafia might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Soloman Tembe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jomo Etafia ran back to his position shaking his head. After 43 played minutes, Sev7en Stars's Gordon Tembe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Soloman Tembe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sev7en Stars reached it.

Gordon Tembe charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gordon Tembe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 51st minute, Gordon Tembe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sam Machete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Boyisana Kerns kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. With a little luck, stellenbosh city's Soloman Tembe got control of the ball when Mawetu Stoltz tried to sneak it across the goal line. When stellenbosh city's Sam Machete in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sev7en Stars's goalie prevented a goal. Sev7en Stars's Jomo Etafia got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Mawetu Stoltz came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Sev7en Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mawetu Stoltz couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yacoob Mumede in the 85th minute of play forced Sev7en Stars's goalkeeper Silas Radebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, Jomo Etafia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mawetu Stoltz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Soloman Tembe skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Mawetu Stoltz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Soloman Tembe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
