Spectators: 9170 (Terracing: 6879, Seating: 2109, VIP seats: 182) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nick Mokhasi kicked off to start the match. The audience was convinced that Thabo Mathibe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maseti Qabi was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Maseti Qabi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Takalani in the 10th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Alfred Takalani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maseti Qabi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thabo Mathibe's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, CHALAY FC's goal looked a bit too open when Thabo Mathibe came free, but Maseti Qabi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, CHALAY FC's Albert Thembe got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 36th minute of the match Nelson Tembe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maseti Qabi skillfully saved the ball. If Alfred Takalani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Thabo Mathibe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maseti Qabi was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

52 minutes into the match, CHALAY FC's goalkeeper Maseti Qabi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfred Takalani. Alfred Takalani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Maseti Qabi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 63 minutes, Thabo Mathibe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maluleke FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thabo Mathibe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thabo Mathibe in the 67th minute of play forced CHALAY FC's goalkeeper Maseti Qabi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Thabo Mathibe fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, Maluleke FC's Nelson Tembe got a free kick in the 74th minute. Meshack Tshabalala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Papi Setlaba in the 79th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Kenny Mayoyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Maluleke FC's Thabo Mathibe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maseti Qabi. That made the score 0-1 after 83 minutes of play. In the 88th minute Nick Mokhasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meshack Tshabalala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gary Ntsume hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Meshack Tshabalala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nick Mokhasi in the 94th minute of the match. The CHALAY FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Maluleke FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
