Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ricky Maduna made the kick off and thus started the match. Silas Collins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 2nd minute, Rob Sephiri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Johannesburg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Etienne Sono kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rob Sephiri in the 12th minute of play forced Pink saints's goalkeeper Henry Kolwa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cornell Smith's late challenge caught a FC Johannesburg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cornell Smith helped the player get up and apologised. Silas Collins took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henry Kolwa. Henry Kolwa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After having played for 24 minutes, Enock Fortuin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Johannesburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enock Fortuin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26thth minute of the game Rob Sephiri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pink saints's Henry Kolwa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Mpho Mkhize was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pink saints's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Johannesburg the free kick. In the 39th minute, Silas Collins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henry Kolwa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7.

The wind increased when Rob Sephiri made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Pink saints was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jakob Cassim to maneuver through the defense. Rob Sephiri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Henry Kolwa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pink saints's goalkeeper Henry Kolwa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sibongile Edwards hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Rob Sephiri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henry Kolwa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. With a little luck, Pink saints's Henry Kolwa got control of the ball when Rob Sephiri tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 71stth minute of the game Rob Sephiri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pink saints's Henry Kolwa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Silas Collins managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Johannesburg's supporters rose to their feet, but Silas Collins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henry Kolwa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Johannesburg made a substitution. Kaidan Vangelfeldt replaced Olov Stål. In the 81st minute, Silas Collins reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Henry Kolwa. The goal made the score 0-11. Pink saints's Henry Kolwa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Pink saints from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Pink saints defense, Godfrey Pretorius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henry Kolwa. The Pink saints fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henry Kolwa should have stopped the shot. FC Johannesburg's Rob Sephiri got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Enock Fortuin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Henry Kolwa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Johannesburg's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
