Spectators: 10125 (Terracing: 7650, Seating: 2300, VIP seats: 175) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jomo Phakathi started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Basil Nhlapo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by Basil Nhlapo in the 6th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Gansbaai's Dean Nkadimeng. After 8 played minutes Gqeberha All Stars got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Edwards. After a rather tough play, Gqeberha All Stars's Basil Nhlapo got a free kick in the 10th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Johann Mkhwanazi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Promise Lekgwathi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 17 minutes into the match, FC Gansbaai's Tomas Dube sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Promise Lekgwathi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Promise Lekgwathi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johann Mkhwanazi in the 20th minute of the match. Basil Mkhonza hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Jomo Phakathi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Samuel Mayoyo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jomo Phakathi had several of the FC Gansbaai's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 25 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Samuel Mayoyo as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 35th minute, Tomas Dube got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Gansbaai's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Thami Miti scored to the left of an out of position Samuel Mayoyo, making the score, 2-1. FC Gansbaai's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Thabile Nauseb scored to the left of an out of position Samuel Mayoyo, making the score, 3-1.

Samuel Mayoyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jomo Phakathi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Boyisana Machete the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gqeberha All Stars protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Boyisana Machete had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Samuel Mayoyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thami Miti in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thabile Nauseb in the 68th minute of play forced FC Gansbaai's goalkeeper Samuel Mayoyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel Mayoyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thabile Nauseb, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. FC Gansbaai's attentive Dean Nkadimeng managed to snatch the ball when Basil Nhlapo made a throw-in in the 76th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Gqeberha All Stars's Basil Nhlapo got a free kick in the 84th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Hassan Tshabalala threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Gansbaai's Samuel Thebile quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thabile Nauseb in the 94th minute of play forced FC Gansbaai's goalkeeper Samuel Mayoyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Gqeberha All Stars players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
