In the 15th minute, Pavol Kučera left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FK Humenné fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 18 minutes into the match, FK Humenné's Peter Mandl sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bohdan Nemček narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FK Humenné's Sabri Dalayer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save FK Humenné from getting a goal against them. When Stano Dúbravec fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Janovce's protests and gave Stano Dúbravec a yellow card for diving instead. Stano Dúbravec kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Bohdan Nemček took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavol Kučera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bohdan Nemček showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Mandl, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. When Pavol Kučera came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the FK Humenné fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pavol Kučera couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Peter Mandl managed to get in a good position for a shot. FK Humenné's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter Mandl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bohdan Nemček breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erik Kaliňák recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FK Humenné's Matej Lipovský got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Pavol Kučera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bohdan Nemček. Janovce's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pavol Kučera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The supporters of FK Humenné booed when Janovce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibor Svitko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stano Dúbravec stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Stano Dúbravec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabri Dalayer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Pavol Kučera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, Pavol Kučera notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Janovce's Bohdan Nemček. Bohdan Nemček was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Matej Lipovský received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Bohdan Nemček tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the game, Pavol Kučera recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bohdan Nemček. Pavol Kučera showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. After having played for 69 minutes, Erik Kaliňák managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Humenné's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Kaliňák was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Janovce's goalkeeper Bohdan Nemček had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter Mandl. In the 72nd minute, Peter Mandl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Peter Mandl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pavol Kučera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bohdan Nemček read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Branislav Rys during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd minute, FK Humenné's Pavol Kučera ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bohdan Nemček. Bohdan Nemček yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Pavol Kučera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Bohdan Nemček made a huge save. Erik Kaliňák kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. FK Humenné's Sabri Dalayer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tibor Svitko in the 93rd minute of play. FK Humenné played a much better game than Janovce and deserved their victory. The Janovce players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
