Ferdinand Adamec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Maslo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Viktor Timko struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Pavol Lopata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hrabkov. After some careless play in the Matovce defense, Viktor Timko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pavol Lopata. The Matovce fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pavol Lopata should have stopped the shot. 35 minutes into the match, Matovce's Matej Pažický sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ferdinand Adamec narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Matej Pažický might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferdinand Adamec. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matej Pažický ran back to his position shaking his head. Vlastimil Sangret kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Viktor Timko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hrabkov's supporters rose to their feet, but Viktor Timko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pavol Lopata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a rather tough play, Matovce's Peter Knapík got a free kick in the 51st minute. Viktor Timko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Vlastimil Sangret fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hrabkov's protests and gave Vlastimil Sangret a yellow card for diving instead. Vlastimil Sangret kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Matovce were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Hrabkov for a fine match.
