In the 30th minute, Ladislav Koval fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Juraj Margita, passed just outside the right post. Gejza Andriščík took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mário Klempa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Kriššák fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gejza Andriščík having to interfere. After having played for 45 minutes, Mário Klempa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sihla FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mário Klempa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rudolf Mrázko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maros Kundráčik kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rudolf Mrázko made a kick off. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Rudolf Mrázko got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ladislav Benkovič fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juraj Margita having to interfere. Svit FK's Ladislav Benkovič got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute Ladislav Benkovič shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juraj Margita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pavol Saktor hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. If Ladislav Koval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
