In the 8th minute, František Škripec got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tibor Bačkor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Šimonovič having to interfere. Tibor Bačkor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Martin Šimonovič made a huge save. František Škripec kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Lentvora's Ivan Pandúr quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Michal Diro, made in the 18th minute of the game. If Dalibor Bartek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Štefan Janovskýs short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Martin Šimonovič to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Martin Šimonovič made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tibor Bačkor in the 26th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Peter Lomnický kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Martin Šimonovič. That made the score 1-0 in the 27 minute of play. The supporters of Lentvora booed when FC Travian was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalibor Bartek didn't get a good kick on the ball. When František Šimonovič came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Lentvora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that František Šimonovič couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 38 in the game by Tibor Bačkor from a close distance when the talented Martin Šimonovič managed to make a qualified save. FC Travian's players were relieved. Peter Lomnický fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Šimonovič having to interfere. Martin Šimonovič made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from František Šimonovič in the 44th minute of play. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Tibor Bačkor made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Štefan Janovský shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Šimonovič saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tibor Bačkor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Šimonovič showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tibor Bačkor, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Alojz Kollár took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dušan Kľúčik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Šimonovič showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tibor Bačkor in the 67th minute of the match. If Tibor Bačkor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Štefan Janovský managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lentvora's supporters rose to their feet, but Štefan Janovský was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Šimonovič breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 73 minutes into the match, Tibor Bačkor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martin Šimonovič. Ladislav Páleník hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Dušan Kľúčik might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alojz Kollár. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dušan Kľúčik ran back to his position shaking his head. When Tomáš Habanec fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Travian's protests and gave Tomáš Habanec a yellow card for diving instead. Tomáš Habanec hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Travian's zone, Tibor Bačkor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Šimonovič came out of the goal and Tibor Bačkor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard, long distance shot from Tibor Bačkor flew over the goal. When the referee ended the match the Lentvora players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
