After a defensive mix-up in Sirk's zone, Pavol Mitašík stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. František Nuchalík came out of the goal and Pavol Mitašík tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pavol Mitašík fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without František Nuchalík having to interfere. Ctibor Mičko might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over František Nuchalík. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pavol Mitašík made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Sirk got a freekick which was hit by Marián Škovira. With a little luck, Sirk's František Nuchalík got control of the ball when Gregor Puškár tried to sneak it across the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Sirk's goal looked a bit too open when Pavol Mitašík came free, but František Nuchalík reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Špindler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the game, one of Jakovany:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Miroslav Mlsna shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Tibor Kordiak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbert Bajza, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Sirk's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
