The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jakubov's Richard Smutný played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Dobrovolný in the 6th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ivan Dobrovolný kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Richard Smutný. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Ivan Dobrovolný struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Richard Smutný didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slavnica FK. In the 16th match minute, Jakubov was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibor Galbavý to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute of the match, Ivan Dobrovolný tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Richard Smutný saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Richard Smutný didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Slavnica FK's Ivan Dobrovolný shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Silvester Kaminský charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Jakubov's René Pramuk got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ivan Dobrovolný might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richard Smutný. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivan Dobrovolný ran back to his position shaking his head. 42 minutes into the match, Pavol Weber had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Richard Smutný. Jakubov's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pavol Weber was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrich Einhorn in the 46th minute of play forced Slavnica FK's goalkeeper Stanislav Karhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivan Dobrovolný was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vladimír Rybársky during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 52 played minutes Slavnica FK got a freekick which was hit by Vladimír Rybársky. René Pramuk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henrich Einhorn struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Stanislav Karhan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jakubov. After a rather tough play, Jakubov's Tibor Galbavý got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After 64 minutes, Tomáš Šechný mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Slavnica FK and the Jakubov players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tomáš Šechný hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Pavol Weber managed to get in a good position for a shot. Slavnica FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Pavol Weber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Smutný breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivan Dobrovolný sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the game, Slavnica FK's Pavol Weber nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richard Smutný made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. In the 74th minute Ivan Dobrovolný shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Smutný saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Henrich Einhorn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard Smutný took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Dobrovolný, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pavol Weber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Smutný having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Ivan Dobrovolný got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivan Dobrovolný succeeded in the game's 96th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-0. Jakubov's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
