If Filip Koščo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The attack was good, but when Hubert Knežník in the 16th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 19th minute Matej Kováč shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matej Révai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 1-0 became the score in the 21st minute when Hubert Knežník elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FK Slovan Duslo Šaľa's Michal Capík got a free kick in the 25th minute. 26 minutes in the game, Hubert Knežník fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Miroslav Lauber having to interfere. Batizovce were furious when Martin Árvay was red carded, 30 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 35th minute, Matej Užík sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Batizovce's Matej Révai didn't even have to move. After having played for 37 minutes, Tibor Šlahor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Batizovce's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tibor Šlahor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Hubert Knežník hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matej Kováč struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Matej Révai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK Slovan Duslo Šaľa. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tibor Šlahor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Filip Koščo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The Batizovce fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matej Révai should have stopped the shot. In the 63rd minute Tibor Šlahor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miroslav Lauber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Batizovce's goalkeeper Matej Révai had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roman Bažík. When František Rataj fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Batizovce's protests and gave František Rataj a yellow card for diving instead. 75 minutes into the match, Batizovce's Tibor Šlahor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miroslav Lauber narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Batizovce's goalkeeper Matej Révai had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roman Bažík. FK Slovan Duslo Šaľa's Miroslav Lauber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tibor Šlahor in the 87th minute of play. Filip Koščo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Miroslav Lauber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tibor Šlahor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
