Gabriel Koniarek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albert Šroub showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dušan Radalj, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After a defensive mix-up in ŠK Ružomberok's zone, Lukáš Olejár stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Šroub came out of the goal and Lukáš Olejár tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dušan Radalj spun around in front of the goal 19 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of ŠK Ružomberok's goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tibor Lučenič in the 24th minute of play forced ŠK Bubos Bratislava's goalkeeper Richard Porubský to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, ŠK Bubos Bratislava's Gabriel Koniarek got a free kick in the 25th minute. Michal Lapač took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Richard Porubský. ŠK Bubos Bratislava's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Albert Šroub came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by ŠK Bubos Bratislava's Lukáš Olejár. But to his dismay, Lukáš Olejár quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Pavol Vrba kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Lukáš Olejár ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albert Šroub was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Richard Porubský made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomáš Mitro in the 52nd minute of play. In the 67th minute, Michal Matuška hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the ŠK Ružomberok defense, Lukáš Olejár kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albert Šroub. The ŠK Ružomberok fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albert Šroub should have stopped the shot. 76 minutes into the game, Dušan Slama was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ŠK Bubos Bratislava's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ŠK Ružomberok the free kick. After a rather tough play, ŠK Bubos Bratislava's Dušan Slama got a free kick in the 77th minute. Albert Šroub took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukáš Olejár, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lukáš Olejár recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dušan Radalj might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albert Šroub. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dušan Radalj ran back to his position shaking his head. ŠK Bubos Bratislava's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
