Lukáš Olejár kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Matúš Lamoš came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by ŠK Bubos Bratislava's Lukáš Olejár. But to his dismay, Lukáš Olejár quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Matúš Lamoš made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukáš Olejár in the 17th minute of play. ŠK Bubos Bratislava's Lukáš Olejár got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th match minute, ŠK Bubos Bratislava was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maroš Vitáliš to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute Dezider Kazík shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Porubský saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Michal Matuška hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lukáš Olejár had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 minutes, Ján Unger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manchester United and the ŠK Bubos Bratislava players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Manchester United got a freekick which was hit by Ján Unger. 37 minutes into the game, Michal Matuška was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ŠK Bubos Bratislava's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester United the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Gabriel Koniarek managed to get in a good position for a shot. ŠK Bubos Bratislava's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Koniarek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matúš Lamoš breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute Dezider Kazík shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Porubský saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dezider Kazík was the one to do the kick off. Dušan Radalj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matúš Lamoš having to interfere. The supporters of Manchester United booed when ŠK Bubos Bratislava was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michal Matuška didn't get a good kick on the ball. ŠK Bubos Bratislava's Richard Porubský played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dezider Kazík in the 60th minute of play. Michal Matuška kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Dušan Radalj had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matúš Lamoš. Manchester United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dušan Radalj was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Lukáš Olejár might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matúš Lamoš. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lukáš Olejár ran back to his position shaking his head. 73 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goalkeeper Matúš Lamoš had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lukáš Olejár. If Lukáš Olejár had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. ŠK Bubos Bratislava were furious when Michal Matuška was red carded, 77 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Richard Porubský had in the 80thth minute some difficulties stopping Marián Košť's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. ŠK Bubos Bratislava's Dušan Radalj got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Manchester United booed when ŠK Bubos Bratislava was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lukáš Olejár didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marián Košť fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 90th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. In the 92nd minute, Erik Kern hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ŠK Bubos Bratislava had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
