But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrej Ondruš couldn't finish the play. Jablonica's Tomáš Tomanovský got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 96th minute, when Jablonica's František Turanec after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Martin Orosz in Brestovany's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. The Brestovany supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Jablonica's performance. The match ended with a win for Jablonica.
