He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC DH Kosice reached it. Ján Gojdič scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfred Škultéty, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 7 minutes into the game, FC DH Kosice's Dušan Pangrác nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ľubomír Gabrieň made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Marek Sisák received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Ľubomír Gabrieň tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ľubomír Gabrieň showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marek Sisák in the 14th minute of the match. If Jozef Matúška had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Ján Gojdič got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC DH Kosice's Alfred Škultéty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jozef Matúška in the 44th minute of play. Ján Gojdič received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Alfred Škultéty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marek Sisák stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfred Škultéty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jozef Matúška, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. FC DH Kosice's Alfred Škultéty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jozef Matúška in the 67th minute of play. Ján Gojdič sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 71 minutes, Jozef Matúška managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honce's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jozef Matúška was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC DH Kosice's Alfred Škultéty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jozef Matúška in the 74th minute of play. After 77 minutes of play, FC DH Kosice's Gabriel Urdák made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ľubomír Gabrieň was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Gabriel Urdák's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ľubomír Gabrieň was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. 81 minutes into the match, FC DH Kosice's Marek Sisák sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ľubomír Gabrieň narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match was over Honce could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC DH Kosice throughout the match.
