Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michal Drahno in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. If Rastislav Nálepka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the FC Barcelona defense, Michal Drahno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ľubomír Gazdík. The FC Barcelona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ľubomír Gazdík should have stopped the shot. When Pavol Prašivec fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chelseaslava's protests and gave Pavol Prašivec a yellow card for diving instead. After 47 played minutes Chelseaslava got a freekick which was hit by Pavol Prašivec. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michal Drahno to make the kick off. Ľubomír Gazdík made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michal Jakubovič in the 52nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rastislav Nálepka in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ľubomír Gazdík saved FC Barcelona from getting behind. Ľubomír Gazdík made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michal Jakubovič in the 80th minute of play. After 80 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Juraj Oravec. With an all-out effort, FC Barcelona's Miloš Jasovský threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Milan Sabolovič, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 85 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Michal Drahno came free, but Ľubomír Gazdík reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Rastislav Nálepka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to FC Barcelona getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Juraj Oravec hit a great ball. Ľubomír Gazdík showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michal Drahno in the 94th minute of the match. With a little luck, Chelseaslava's Miloš Jasovský got control of the ball when Róbert Varjan tried to sneak it across the goal line.
